The best moment in all of this was the comment: "I see that Karren Brady has been complaining about sexism in the game. Yeah, right, love"

The fact it was clearly made without even a hint of irony puts Keys right up there in Partridge territory.

I'm far less impressed by younger women these days, it's all about the forty somethings.

Mind you, I am 42, and there'd be no chance of snaring any of them, so it's all kind of by the by.

You could always show them your online betting account balance. Something similar worked for Paul Daniels.

i asked the girls in the office what they thought about this, they said you could tell what sort of person Andy Gray is, none of them thought they should lose thier job because of it, they were not offended just put it down to blokish attitudes and blokish stupidity, for them it just proved that most blokes are inferior to women in terms of what is important, i think they are right

The stupidness of their comments is that it seems to have proved her right even though the context for her claims were that she sent texts to players to get them to turn against the manager of her football team and she reckons this was being reported because she is a woman in a mans world. The press weren't reporting this because she is a woman, they were reporting it because she is probably scheming enough to try to do that.

Neither had the wit to realise that it is the football that is popular, not them. They thought a big audience reflected on them when most of us would watch it if it was fronted by Martin Bormann.

How did she have a hand in it? Keys made a remark about her, she wasn't there. It's not her fault any more than it's Sian Massey's and God knows I'm no admirer of Karren Brady
