So Andy Gray files legal proceedings against Murdoch-owned newspaper and three weeks later is sacked from job at Murdoch-owned Sky television? Interesting.

(By the way I'm not making light or condoning the comments).

I disagree, it's not like saying a muslim shouldn't be a linesman that would be bigotted, but with regard to women there may well be a logical rationale. I would need to hear the reasoning before making a hard and fast judgement.

So would I!
Because I can't think of one single reason why a fully qualified female referee should not be able to officiate at a Premier League game.
Can you?

I'd need to hear the arguments of those who are opposed to this new development. I'm relatively open minded on this one.

Should women be able to  coach,  manage , play ?  Is it only bigots who would oppose these things happening?

I certainly don't think they should commentate.

Why?

Voices are too high pitched, so when a goal is scored they sound like silly squealing ten year old boys, and I don't want to listen to that.

Your username suggests that you're something of a shortarse.

I never realised I was a bigot, but it seems that I'm thoroughly against reading the opinions of short, bitter (though admittedly probably very trim at 11st2". I don't want to listen to you but we could always go to the pictures? I'm a good kisser.) Northreners.

I get your point although why bitter?  Certainly not bigotted though as I'm totally tolerant of views favouring women commentators it's just a point of view.

As for the user name, that in hindsight was a mistake it looks stupid and is often  misinterpreted. They ain't my stats they belong to Brian Little - Rothmans 74/75 season.

Fair enough, "bitter" duly withdrawn. Apologies.

Gordon Brown goes for mic-tapping by Sky News, Vince Cable is tapped by two undercover journalists.

Co-incidence?

Anyone still approve of the NewsCorp/Sky takeover?

The Tories?

Keys and Gray (and another) were disciplined over the comments. Gray was then sacked after the unveiling of the second vid when he asked Charlotte Jackson to put her hand down his trousers.

Well all the media outlets had the Brown comments as it was shared service. And it was the Telegraph who did Vince Cable who I believe are not a part of Sky/Newscorp.

He might not be well liked on here, but lets not forget for 1 season he was the best Villa striker i have seen, and for that reason alone i find it hard to understand the venom thrown at him on a Villa supporters board.

I'm still not sure that anyone who has *actually listened* to the remarks between Gray and Keys could describe them as `banter'.

There was nothing jokey or lighthearted about anything they said.

you need to get out more
