I think the comments made to Charlotte. Jackson asking her her to tuck the box down his trousers was the final straw- the look on her face says what she thinks and apparently gray was given a warning over it- it's a culmination of at least 3 offences that has cost his job .

that was his yellow card then...

I noticed the line assistant is not doing her game after all...

Gave the clip another shot, they sounded very bitter. Bitter and backward.

One would think being paid shitloads doing a dream job for 20 years would make you more content and comfortable as opposed to being full of bile and ignorance. Or am I missing something about working conditions at Sky Sports?

In another working environment, the comment aimed at Charlotte Jackson would have earned him a disciplinary at least. Why has it taken an off-air mic and a Youtube clip for Sky to act?

I think he got off lightly.  I would have thrown him under a horse.

I have to say that's a bit harsh in my view.  Obviously Sky employ the host of blonde lovelies on Sky Sports News for their considerable knowledge of the sporting world.

Same here.

Now that I don't understand. All he said was that she was a bit of a looker.

I disagree, it's not like saying a muslim shouldn't be a linesman that would be bigotted, but with regard to women there may well be a logical rationale. I would need to hear the reasoning before making a hard and fast judgement.

So would I!
Because I can't think of one single reason why a fully qualified female referee should not be able to officiate at a Premier League game.
Can you?

I'd need to hear the arguments of those who are opposed to this new development. I'm relatively open minded on this one.

Should women be able to  coach,  manage , play ?  Is it only bigots who would oppose these things happening?

I certainly don't think they should commentate.

Why?

Voices are too high pitched, so when a goal is scored they sound like silly squealing ten year old boys, and I don't want to listen to that.

Have you ever heard a woman commentating? I haven't. Just can't get over the fact that you think this is what would happen every time a goal was scored.

I tell you what, I don't think I could find it anymore annoying than Tyldesley shrieking 'ROOOOOOOONNNNEEEEY' everytime he's anywhere near the 18 yard box with the ball.

I assume you're referring to Jaqui Oatley who indeed has a rather high pitched voice that is obviously not to your taste. And on that basis you don't think any females should be commentators?

There you go, you've just proved my point.

If it means more Redknapp, bring back Andy Gray,or even better just have an old fashioned test card like they did in the 70s and 80s,would give more interesting views than Rednapp.
