Who do you hate more?

My problem and I'll deal with it but have always liked to think we are a Birmingham club but guess it comes with relative success.

Im from gloucestershire and support the villa cus of my dad. I follow the club as much as i can now (due to money) but i had a season ticket for 10 years and did every away game money allowed. Shall i stop following us cus i ent from brum?

As I say, it's just how I feel. I have nothing against people supporting Villa from wherever but I do think it's a different experience for those of us who have grown up in around brum (and Blues fans) to those that haven't. I think the main reason Blues fans are so bitter towards us (other than the lack of trophies, insane jealousy etc.) is that the massive majority have grown up with their faces being rubbed in it by Villa fans.

As we have more supporters from outside Brum who haven't had that intense rivalry drummed in to them because they have grown up in Gloucester, Milton Keynes or wherever then I don't think they understand pure loathing of a local rival. It's why I am sceptical about people saying they 'hate' Spurs, Newcastle etc. because 'hate' and 'dislike, annoy' are two different things. I'm not sure you understand 'hate' unless you have lived it.

Just my opinion and long may the extended Villa family remain. Looking at attendances I think we need it.

   Well i live in Worcester Barry, previously Pershore.Where i lived originally, Hamstead, everybody supported Villa or Albion.Not much of anything else.
  When i moved to Pershore, everybody supported 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' or Ure, when you asked them why it was always "Because they are the best/biggest"......pathetic glory hunters really.

 Now even though you don't live in Brum, one of your most local football teams is Villa, so you're fine by me, and we certainly could'nt accuse you of being a glory hunter could we?

All this over-the-top coverage of Liverpool is reminding me of just how much they rile me.  I don't want to use the word "hate", but blimey, they grind my gears  in every way imaginable.  What an awful, awful club they are - for reasons that are debated elsewhere.  I just can't stand 'em!

I'd love to see Liverpool do a Leeds but to rot inbetween League 1 or 2. Maybe even do an Oxford. Blues to come up every 5 or so years to give us a thrill once in a while.
