Who do you hate more?

I always play along and give it the pantomime treatment when it comes to the B-lose.
But it was difficult to truly hate them as they have been irrelevant for so long, scrambling about in the second and third division.

You might as well have hated Walsall.

Things warmed up for a while post 2002 and -whilst I'd still like to see them go down as the only sure fire way of ensuring we can't ever have a repeat of 03/03/03- if I'm honest I've always hated Liverpool and Manure more. The smugness and sense of entitlement of both of those clubs is off the scale. The hypocrisy of Fergiescum moaning about clubs with money and players being tapped up, the largely homecounties or Irish accents of supporters of those clubs who inundate phone-ins and embarrass themselves with inane comments and lack of general awareness. The whole nine yards.

Liverpool is a more historic dislike dating back to a time when they actually won things and would make a habit of playing poorly in games and sneaking a winner. Usually a deflection or a dodgy penalty decision.  Man U do play a more expansive game and I can understand why the neutral or gloryhunter might actually watch them and be entertained, I'll give them that.

But the Redscouse still believe they should be shoe-in's for the title now despite being nowhere near it for 20 years whilst Man U fans have only stepped up the anti Glazer protests in the wake of the growth of Citeh as the dominant club in the transfer market. And Chelsea getting back amongst the honours of course.

I'm not particularly crazy about Roman's lot or Citeh either TBH, the Oil Firm crew as it were. Nouveau riche blow-ins. But I work from the simple principle that if it's bad for Man U or Liverpool - it's good.

Any misery or misfortune that can be distributed their way, anything that pisses off their fans and has them crying in their ale can only be a good thing.

Hmm, lets' see.... erm, Spurs.  And now I know I'm not alone!

As Nick Lees said earlier, hate is an over-used word and if I really think about it... no, sorry I fukcing hate spurs (in football terms of course)

If we're talking about fans, aside form the Blues...  Any brummie supporting a team from Manchester, Liverpool or London.  I know all the arguments that get trotted out about football being a global game now and boundaries between countries being obsolete, however every time I hear a brummie arguing with another brummie about the rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester I scratch my head.  It's just wrong.

Did I mention I hate Spurs?

liverpol and blues are my real hates for the same reasons as K Gage although my position on MANU is tainted by the fact i lived up there and had many true united suporters as mates who knew thier football and respected The Villa different generation i guess> then i cant stand chelsea no class and my dislike of olbyon is purely because of the Croperly incident

Blues aside,

for me it's: 1)Man Utd
                  2) Leeds
                  3) Coventry

The Utd hatred is obviously part jealousy, but also a multitude of other reasons that have been covered elsewhere on here: the scum that turns up to VP every year for the FAC 3rd round; the armchair support the length and breadth of the land; cockney fvckin reds; the media obsession with them; the way any football commentator shrieks: "ROONEY" every time the ball goes anywhere near him; The airbrushing of history that conveniently overlooks the 26 years they went without winning the league whilst liverpool made them look small time; the sinister Old Trafford 'security'. Horrible, horrible classless outfit.

Leeds hatred is mainly just down to their scumbag, mainly racist supporters. I'm too young to remember their 70's heyday, but watching the damned Utd recently, cemented my dislike for them. Similarly - the O'Leary years were difficult to stomach, watching them progress in the champions league. Bowyer, Woodgate.

Coventry is just because I'm from Nuneaton and there were quite a few around growing up. Only really noticed their nasty strain of bitterness from around the mid-late 90's though.

I have many black country friends so really quite like some of the conversations and banter i have had with there fans. So that only leaves the "Scum" and take my word i really do "Hate" them. Even though a lot of my mates are Blue noses. I just hate there cynical view and lack of reality about our superiority (Ground, Training facilities, attendances) and achievements ...........

Not being from Birmingham, I hate our local rivals less than I hate the likes of Man U, Spurs and Man City. To me, the baggies, wolves and small heath are just small time clubs like Bolton, Wigan etc and I just dislike them that bit more because they are our local rivals. If I grew up in Brum I'd feel the passionate local hatred more obviously.

Common theme here is that if you grew up in Brum you hate the Blues, the Black Country then it's the Albion or Wolves and
elsewhere then it's a lucky dip. I grew up in Brum and most of my mates are noses but I hate the Blues. I couldn't give a toss about Spurs to be honest and the Albion and Wolves don't interest me either. I can see why people from a certain area would hate the Albion and of course it's close to VP but to truly 'hate' Spurs/Liverpool/Newcastle etc. doesn't ring true to me. Dislike yes, but hate for me has to be kept for those niggling, inbred, chavvy tossers from the sty.

Somebody commented about hearing two brummies arguing about Man U/Liverpool and I admit to somehow not liking hearing Villa fans that don't have West Midlands accents. My problem and I'll deal with it but have always liked to think we are a Birmingham club but guess it comes with relative success.

Spurs I think.

Partly due to then being a bigger threat to any potential success. But mainly to to that absolute cheating scumbag of a manager they have. And their fans are generally a bunch of penises.

I strongly dislike all of them with the exception of Wolves, who I don't really have any feelings about.

I would add, though, that although I detest Blues (most of all), I would rather my children grew up to be Blues fans than gloryhunting Chelsea or Man United supporters.

The gloryhunter is amongst the lowest forms of human life, as far as I'm concerned. Devoid of any pride in their local area, dispensing with their own pride safe in the knowledge there will be some silverware along soon enough. Their opinions on football are null and void - they can never know what it is really like.

Every time I see them walking around Brum in their Man United shirts, my stomach churns, and I wonder how it feels to be quite so fucking spineless.

Somewhat extreme, but hey ho, I really, really don't like them.
