Why do I hate Spurs?

No, I am not Dave's best friend. I do, however, think it's a bit much to be having a pop at someone for not thinking the rest of us are worthy of debate when we raise our opinions, consdering that for 20 plus years he's spent most of his working life publishing a magazine which was born purely to enable us plebs to do precisely that.

I have noticed, however, two things about your posts. One is the absolute inability to debate anything without losing your rag pretty quickly, and the other is the extent you go to to patronise people whilst doing your best to appear clever yourself, so it was more than a little bit amusing to hear you talk about "lofty towers".

99.9% of people on here argue the toss with each other day after day after day and never feel the need to spout anything like the kind of ego-driven nonsense you do.

It's as if you've gone out of your way to get as noticed as you can, as quickly as you can.

Well, if Gary Neville or was it Alan Smith are to be believed then to really have a chance of a title they will need to look at their wage bill. That's just to keep Galen for starters.

As far as I am concerned I was merely explaining why a Villa fan might hate Spurs.

If the same question had been asked about Man United, Liverpool or Real Madrid, I would have answered entirely differently.

Spurs were, before Villa's latest down-sizing, on the next financial tier to Villa - near peers always excite resentment.

I merely offered up a history of Villa's mismanagement since the war, which I thought explained much of that difference.

I offered up various mistakes they had made and someone accused me of blaming it all on the presence or absence of floodlights.

I naturally thought this was someone being perverse for clinging to such a rebuttal and was taking the piss.

If I am told Dave cannot be expected to reach any other conclusion, I suppose I have to accept that.

I was not meaning to be offensive because I assume Villa fans are all too familiar with their (sic) clubs history.

Dont take things too much to heart villadroid-your posts are different and i find your use of unusual vocabulary quite entertaining but your views are not that extreme- the vast majority on here are decent people and the differing opinions and banter are healthy.
