I think we're in second place on the Everton hate list.

I'd love to know why.

I reckon it's because deep down they know they are just behind us in the big club league. It's the only logical explanation as they really do seem to hate us.

I do honestly think there's a certain dislike us 3 because of a psychological fight for dominance. We're the same sized clubs and we seem to likeit when they don't perform better than us over a season. Why? Other than the 'big' clubs and local teams why do we share a negativity towards each other?

We do have a history of making them look stupid, I suppose.

If you know yer history, we're a little bit grander and older. That probably vexes them a bit.

It must annoy them when they bang on about knowing your history that we are the only club with a better one. But it still doesn't explain the hatred. It's not banter *shudder* from a lot of them, it's outright hate.

I've said before that years ago I used to use Rivals. They were forever on the Villa page gloating when we lost etc. There was more shite from Everton fans on there than small heath, cov and the pride of the Midlands combined.

I quite like Everton really. Their team are an annoying elbowy bunch, but the club I quite like. Spurs I can't stand.

In the pre-internet days When Skies Are Grey also started talking about us like we were some big mad rivals as well. It is, as I've said many times before, strange that a club which prides itself on its history and image of being old-school and unfashionable should be so angry about a club that's so similar.

As much as I hate spurs right now, you've sure gotta love Gareth Bale.

I don't, he looks like Alex Kidd off the Sega Master System.  And don't get me started on that stupid heart celebration he does...

Don't have much against Everton and they have a brilliant manager. Be interesting to see how "well" they do once Moyes departs.

But less successful.

I absolutely detested them in the `80s, because they got so much more publicity from the press for winning the FA cup 2 years in succession (81-82) than we ever got for winning the League and European cup, to be fair to them, that was the press`s London bias in overdrive, but it still was bloody annoying.

My first football wish would be for Spurs to be relagated, as would be my second just to make sure and my third is that they don't come back.  A Spurs fan is probably wishing us just the same but has been rubbing his lamp harder.

I quite like their current manaager and they are a good team to watch , like others  my feelings go back to the 80s with the media love in for them which still exists today.  They are always one game, one player away from being a great team.

I think part of it with Everton is that we by and large get the upper hand. They've won twice at Villa Park in 25 years and they've beaten us, what three times at Goodison in the same period?

I can only recall a 2-1 defeat when Rooney scored, a 4-1 in the league when Gabby got his first senior goal and then a 3-1 in the cup.

If you add this to us having a better history, then it must nark them.

I think they're alright as a club. Their ground is a classic, but its a bit shabby and grubby these days, their fans are awful mind.
