I have to agree with the above General. The two cup games were only £10 each. It costs a small fortune to follow the lads away from home. The club have got this wrong i'm afraid.

Exactly. Tell me this, where is the loyalty to those fans who pay £48 for a ticket to the Sty year-in-year-out?? Cause I bet half of those people didn't attend BOTH CC matches.

Nope that's right the club would rather help out the Johnny-come-lately's who fancied taking down there young nipper for a one off £10 match!

The loyalty is to those who go to most games  , they've got it spot on in  my opinion.

At the start they have! But why the need for a free-for-all on the limited tickets left at Nov 9th / Nov 11th. At this point rather than selling to ALL ST holders, they should then begin selling to those ST holders that have away history but had to miss 1/2 of the carling cup games. Surely those people are more entitled than a ST holder who has never been to an away game in their life!?

You can't really say that to be honest, You weren't there were you?. Where I sit all the season ticket holders who are normally there were there against Blacburn and Burnley

People who attend cup games whether they be regular or not should be allowed to attend later rounds. What if it were Wiagn away? Would you be so keen then?

Yes I would actually...hence my good away history.

And this is exactly my point, the away fans would be keen whatever. Those fans that travel across the country supporting Villa should be entitled to continue doing that whether it is Birmingham, Wigan, or Ipswich and should not be penalised just because they didn't go to a carling cup match.

So because I can't afford to go away every week I should be punished then? You should be able to go ahead of me even though you haven't been to a cup game this season?

General, have the club had any say in the way ''that lot down the road'' are selling ticket's for the CC game. For ticket's to be on general sale is just asking for trouble and could cause segragation problems.
There are bound to be Villa fans in home area's. Thanks for your time.

General,

I'm reading a lot of news about ticket deals to increase the number of supporters who come to the match, and this is commended. However, if someone decided to buy a ticket on a match by match basis, using these deals, in (for example) the Lower Holte - how would this compare over the season to the cost of a season ticket?

General Krulak here:

1.  PaulMcgrathsNo55shirt:  Interestingly, we have not sold out the Blues game for the past 3 years.  Last years attendance and this years are basically the same.  Ticket pricing does not seem to have impacted, historically, that game.

2.  The big screen will not be back until renovation is completed.

3.  peterw:  The Hedge Fund issue will not have any impact on Randy's spend on the Club.  It was in a fund...not liquid and able to be used.  It would not have been used anyhow as it is a separate investment.

4.  Blues game tickets:  First off, we received an allocation of 3,800 tickets.  We rate an allocation of 15% of the seating capacity.  We certainly asked for our entire allocation.  The reason we did not get the entire allocation is that the local council penalized us for "persistent standing"...a health and safety issue.  We obviously fought this but the council said "no".  They basically took away seats from us because of the standing rule.  I have mentioned on more than one occasion that the standing regulation was out of our hands...and that it could come back to "bite us."  It did.  Nicky Keye posted the criteria for the allocation of tickets on the OS...she also discussed the ticket allocation at the beginning of the year.  In her comments, she stated that home game attendance was critical and it is not simply a case of who goes to away games.  When it comes to games that are "big"...this one, the semi-finals and finals of cup games, etc. there will NEVER be enough tickets to go around.  This is why we publish the criteria early on.

5.  villasubmariner.  ST would be the cheaper way to go.  That is why we have ST's.

I think we can gather from the lack of response that the General is running scared - Subbuteo-wise.

as an ex military man perhaps challenging the General to a game of online RISK would be more to his liking?

I think you're wrong there, General

2010 - 40,688

2009-10  - 42,788 (the exact same crowd as for Man U and Liverpool, so I assume that is capacity)

2008-09 - they were talking a sabbatical back where they belong

2007-08: 42,584 (when capacity was 42,640, I suspect the shortfall of 52 was due to extra segregation, so a sell out)

So this years is 2,000 down, for whatever reason.

Fortunately Big Dave and Gormless George, the boy wonder in the exchequer are busy ensuring these bozos will be out of a job soon enough, problem solved ;)

General Krulak here:

1.  pauliewalnuts:  I get my input straight from the ticket office....perhaps the difference is "paid" vs. "attended."

2.  It has come to may attention that, unfortunately, some websites are naming specific B'ham City Councillors as being responsible for the decision to limit tickets for the game against the Blues;  that is not true.  The decision to cut the ticket allocation was taken by a B'ham City Councils Safety Advisory Group who took that decision on the "no standing" rule being continually broken by our Fans.  The Club has a very good relationship with the local councillors and they have always been helpful and responsive to the Club.  Calling and or emailing is not helping anything!  This decision has nothing to do with the local rivalry between us and the Blues.  The safety advisory group will apply the same rules to away fans at Villa Park whose fans are considered "persistent standers."  IN FACT, the applied the rules to the Blues Fans at LAST SUNDAY's game.

As we seem to get lost of injuries recently. Could we double check if the new fitness coach's training methods is causing the injuries on training ground. I mean we are down to last striker.
