As we seem to get lost of injuries recently. Could we double check if the new fitness coach's training methods is causing the injuries on training ground. I mean we are down to last striker.

That crossed my mind too, having read some recent comments by a fitness coach (Roger Spry I think) about the amount of injuries Man City are getting since Mancini came in and made them train twice a day... as I believe is now happening at Villa.

General Krulak here:

1.  pauliewalnuts:  I get my input straight from the ticket office....perhaps the difference is "paid" vs. "attended."

2.  It has come to may attention that, unfortunately, some websites are naming specific B'ham City Councillors as being responsible for the decision to limit tickets for the game against the Blues;  that is not true.  The decision to cut the ticket allocation was taken by a B'ham City Councils Safety Advisory Group who took that decision on the "no standing" rule being continually broken by our Fans.  The Club has a very good relationship with the local councillors and they have always been helpful and responsive to the Club.  Calling and or emailing is not helping anything!  This decision has nothing to do with the local rivalry between us and the Blues.  The safety advisory group will apply the same rules to away fans at Villa Park whose fans are considered "persistent standers."  IN FACT, the applied the rules to the Blues Fans at LAST SUNDAY's game.

Does it happen to Man Utd and Liverpool fans though? Every team that has a good away following stands, so why does it only seem to be Villa and Blues to get punished? Or is it other teams?

Fair enough, but I guess that even if that were the case, those figures are the paid ones, which is the same as a sell out anyway (there are always ST holders who can't make it, obviously).

On a wider point, how are half season ticket sales going?

General. Can Randy Lerner give a full and unequivocal guarantee that he is totally opposed to a single domestic league game ever being played outside the confines of the country ?
As a season ticket holder and supporter of 44 years who has missed probably just a dozen home games in that time, I would regretfully have no option but to stop watching all league games.
As fans of one of the original twelve founding member clubs and the fact that William McGregor was a Villa man,  I am sure Randy understands the depth of feeling most of us feel on this matter.

Ditto. It would finish me off as well. I'm barely hanging in as it is what with the aggression of the derby game meaning I leave the kids at home and seeing the best seats in the ground empty all the time due to the price. I can't understand the appeal of for TV only sports like the Grand Prix tour.I just wouldn't be interested anymore.

Could I just focus on the really important thing that's going on at the moment i.e. that on the pitch our season is imploding and we are heading for a bottom 3 place by Christmas.

Is it true that there is no money at all to spend in January and that Houllier thinks we don't need a new striker any way?

Yes, you're really going to get an answer to that one.

Not trying to answer for the general but Liverpool had reduced allocations to Villa last season for this. I will say that it seems that BCC are the only council enforcing this so it seems that Villa and Blues are punished in the fact their away teams have a reduced allocation.

And to further butt in, ManUtds allocation at both Middlesbrough and Sunderland has been cut in the last few years due to the failure to heed warnings about standing amongst their supporters.

As you were.

Cardiff and or Swansea may have something to say about that if they get promoted  ;)
