All that dogging (allegedly) on Cannock Chase has addled his (small) brain ! Villa fan my arse !

To be fair to Stan, I don't think you can doubt his passion for the Villa. He's just a pessimistic, slightly daft sod. But so are lots of fans.

Stan is very passionate about Villa when he talks about us on talkSPORT nearly everyday; sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't (especially when he sucks up to MON) but he's nowhere hear as bad as some of the doom and gloom merchants who call themselves Villa fans.

Regardless if you wanted Houllier as manager as not, we should all fully support him and give him a chance instead of moaning before we've even kicked a ball under Houllier as manager. Whichever manager we got in, I am sure not every Villa would have been happy. A win against anti-football Stoke will make all the negative Villa fans who don't want Houllier as manager re-think before they pass judgement.
