You have to wonder whether last summer he was fit and raring to go as he was desperate to keep his place at Citeh.

Then even after he moved, he was still fired up by the challenge of proving them wrong.

Is he just settling now?

I was one of the few who wasn't distraught at his signing last summer. As he showed last year, he has it in his locker to be as good as anything in the country.

But he has had motivational and weight issues in the past, perhaps no coincidence that they overlap.

Luckily we've got a very good CB in  Carlos waiting in the wings. Forget any nonsense of playing Carlos in place of  Luke Young. Any more performances like Newcastle or Stoke from Dunne and it's his place that should be under threat.
