Just watched some of that - brilliant thanks.

Our support was fantastic, we were the better team, but how close were both benches on the touchline? Looked like one team!

Singing YNWA before kick off too....

My first Villa game was the beginning of the 93-94 season, home to QPR, won 4-1. Wonderful introduction to Villa for a 10 year old.

My dad had taken me to Filbert Street numerous times before that in an attempt to get me to follow Leicester. But it didn't work, and I followed my Grandad 's beloved Villa instead.

Not my first went to a few in the 92/3 season. (Norwich at home lost 2-3) but have fond memories of this one.... I got gods autograph.

First game was a 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury just after xmas in 1970, it was a Christmas present along with the kit. Was just after the semi final win over Man Ure if I remember correctly.

That's quite a nice idea, getting the kit and a match ticket for Christmas.

It was great for a THEN young kid

I can't actually remember my first match. I was only 5.

Though I was 10 when we went to Wembley in 1994.  I'll never ever forgot that memory!

I assume your first match wasn't the nil-nil draw against Leicester in 1978

That was a bore draw. But compared to the 0-0 at home to Ipswich in 1976 it was a football fest ( a flock of pigeons undisturbed by football in the centre circle)

My first match was at Villa Park against Leeds. Must have been the early 90s I would think. The only thing I remember about the game is that they had a player called Whyte.

I remember that, didn't someone write to the Mail threatening to sue both teams under the trade descriptions act - having the nerve to call it a game of football ??

Of course the game six months later, the next season against Ipswich at home was a completely different matter - one of our many 5 goal demolitions of that wonderful season.

A 1-3 home defeat to Chelsea in around 1992, I can't remember anything about it.

Coventry at home, won 2-1 early season in 90/91 with goal scoring machine Cascarino with the winner.

First away game, San Siro Milan for the 3-0 drubbing....

Still beats Stoke away on a cold Winter's night I guess  ;)

It was a bit surreal. I'd been meaning to go to an away earlier in the season but with one thing and another didn't manage it and ended up at the San Siro.

against Wimbledon September 1995 a 2 nil win (Taylor, Draper), just remember being overawed by that wonderful trinity road stand.
