Yes, talkSport said Houllier is in Birmingham and is scheduled to have a press conference later today.

Which actually means "he's in Paris and has decided against managing us".

Dietmar Hamman involved? Says our 'Villa Insider' friend.

Wow, he's till playing? I'd rather Hamman than Thomson.

Hamman plays for the MK Dons at the moment

Wow he's still playing?

Yeah, he's 37 now, i thought he'd be older seems to have been around forever. Your "villa insider" friend was wrong me thinks, unkless he does a u turn and he's known to do them.....

Driving up the Aston Hall Road now as we speak.....Hang on, he's stopped at the shop opposite what once was Joinery Contracts Ltd and bought I think, some form of mints.  Will keep you posted.

Does he look drunk? That's usually the reason when men buy mints.

villa insider has said on twitter about 12.30 that houllier is done and he has signed 3 year deal.  no news on assistant but names like hamman have been thrown about, LOL

after all my bitching and all the abuse i have had on here about my bitching i am happy to give houllier a chance.  Just hope he can reproduce the form he did with liverpool

i am just worrying about his signings.  everyone saying that he has european contacts blah blah,  but who did he sign that was any good for liverpool ? :-)

Sitting outside a cafe, smoking a Gauloise, reading Le Monde, sneering at tourists, occasionally looking up from his newspaper to eye up some devilishly attractive woman, pondering the merits of a two hour, three course lunch break.

I love Paris.

My ideal coaching set up under him would be K-Mac as a coach (his strength and gets on with the players) and a firey assistant (the shouter who plays bad cop when it's needed).  That would make up for where I would percieve Houllier is not strongest.
Agree John. Neither Houllier or Kevin MacDonald are big shouters during games. I'm not saying we need another monkey on speed but there does need to be some communication coming from the bench.

Brian Blessed?

"CRIVENS, CURTIS! STAY CALM IN POSSESSION!"

If they need someone to shout at Curtis Davies for 90 minutes I'll be well up for it.
