Pinocchio isn't coming to Villa Park after all (according to TalkSport) -

By all accounts Houllier is talking to FFF today - perhaps they will
persuade him to continue in his role with them .............and the search
for a new manager goes on and on and on

No it will be Houllier, Don't worry

Where was GH in the vote list? 19 names in there and we didn't think about  him ...tut tut

because it would be a pathetic appointment and no one in their right minds thought he would get the job

oh hang on ......

Houlier is a better manager than 75% of that list ..

True.  But then does that make the board visionary for going for him or stupid as we probably never thought of him because he's 63 and was serving a practical semi-retirement behind the scenes with France?

Only time will tell.

I've just got a very uneasy feeling about the whole thing.

Does there not come a point where you think enough is enough? I respect your right to your negative view of the appointment but you really have made your point already

My ideal coaching set up under him would be K-Mac as a coach (his strength and gets on with the players) and a firey assistant (the shouter who plays bad cop when it's needed).  That would make up for where I would percieve Houllier is not strongest.

Thompson? ;)

He would unfortunately fit the bill, even if I do personally think he's a bit of a twat.

That's more like it. You're not really a happy clapper.

Why does it take so bleeding long to appoint a bloke the French cant wait to get rid of, a pundit for Sky and a bloke who already works for us?

I do feel i now need to go on a massively positive rant about something before they kick me out of the club!

Agree John. Neither Houllier or Kevin MacDonald are big shouters during games. I'm not saying we need another monkey on speed but there does need to be some communication coming from the bench.
