I don't buy the argument we couldn't be a better footballing side. Look what Martinez did with negative cash resources at Wigan and what Hodgson did at Fulham. Both made rapid changes.

Any midfield with Petrov, Young, Downing should be able to pass the bloody football. Playing proper full backs on both sides, and not playing two centre fwds picked for their raw athleticism, would make a huge difference.

I'd like to see MacDonald and Sid given a crack at it together. First and foremost they'll want the ball on the deck a lot more.

Understandable but I really think we will need someone with more experience, you also wonder how much they would want it given that they have been here so long without apparently showing much interest in taking over at lower league clubs to give them that experience.

Yes. By crack I mean just a few months though, and bide our time for the right permanent boss to come along. If it ends up going tits up like Ince at Blackburn, then a quick stabilising move like Curbs might be needed.

That is of course unless Randy is willing to fork out to buy out another working manager, or someone like Hiddink asap. Which seems unlikely.

 I'd rather see those two in temporary charge till we find the best choice, than make a panic appoinment like Curbishley,Allardyce,the atmospehere would turn back to the days of O'dreary.

I bloody do. No matter what the frustrations its still piss poor business to allow your manager to walk out just before a campaign. If there was a problem between the two of them they should have sorted it out weeks ago and if MON could not carry on, it should have been resolved then and not now.

We could be better for sure. Depends just what we'd expect. Hodgeson at Fulham is a decent example. I could live with that. To attain to being near a team like Arsenal say, then we would need a player shift.
At the same time we might lose some of our resiliance. Would I sacrifice points for decent football? No.
