Of course I'm hoping for a win because we might not look so stale as often did under O'Neill. The change might just be a breath of fresh air.

The fans have all got to give their full support to the players for the whole match as they need us now more than ever.

I would like to see the players give their all now. The shakles are off so now is the time to prove your point.
Wish I was going.

Any ideas on the predicted attendance for Saturday?

Mostly Villa fans with a small percentage of East Londoners.

Oh....4-0 to the Villa.
We're gonna tear Wrist Ham a new one.

I go along with this.  I think we'll smash the shit out of them.

Does anyone really think Ireland will play if the deal's done in the next 24 hours?  Isn't today the deadline for any new signings to play anyway?

Premier League Rules state:

Subject to the provisions of Rule M.1, the deadline for receipt by the Secretary of all duly completed documents required by these Rules to effect the registration of a Player shall be 12 noon on the last Working Day before the date of the first League Match in which the Club making the application intends him to play.

That would suggest Noon tomorrow.

I fear the worst going into this game, worst possible preperation for the opening day of the new campaign.

Villa 0-2 West Ham

oh dry yer eyes chris. Its hardly my fault the guy you continuously said you trusted turned out to have the morale backbone of a common Hodge. Your total wrongness in judging a manager's character is a constant source of amazement and pity. Another shrine to go in the loft next to the dust covered DOL one and the slightly mouldy John Gregory one. I'm sure you'll bounce back :0)

So, how long until you turn on the new manager as he doesn't do exactly as you want and dares to sign a player you don't rate, despite winning games in the meantime?

I'll give it to Christmas.

If i do, you can bet it'll be on his decisions as a manager. The new guy whoever he is won't be popular with a lot on here purely because he's Lerner's man and replaced the saviour. In fact many will be dying to see him fail, just like MON's successors at Celtic. Could be decades before we purge the MONette fanclub

I think the players will have a lot of confidence and also a point to prove. The happy BMH cannot be underestimated. Kev Mac is well respected too. We have the better players, I have no doubt we'll be slotting round pegs in round holes and that we'll win.
