The food is utter crap, I don't touch it now.

When I did fancy a beer last season, it was half a nano second past a quarter to three so they wouldn't serve me a bottle of gnats piss. So fuck 'em.

I went to the CSKA Moscow home match. Refused beer because it was 'an evening kick-off'.

LOLWHUT?!

Surely beer wasn't on sale then because it was a UEFA game?

That rule only seem to apply in England, everywhere else in the Europe you can get beers (or wine if you are Hugh Grant) and even watch the game (World Cup) with a drink in your hand.

The selection available to vegetarians such as myself is pretty woeful, however I'm used to being marginalised in most mainstream locations serving food outside a rock festival in any case- if I go for a pub meal it's a noteworthy occasion if there are more than two or three veggie options, and it's especially noteworthy if any real thought has gone into more than one of them!

Needless to say, I usually eat before making my way to the ground.

And the beer is so overpriced it makes the Academy look a good value place to have a drink.

What really does my head in , is the body search as you enter the Witton End, & when they find the 2 small bottles of water , purchased from a supermarket, to avoid paying @£1.80 /bottle in the ground,
they insist on me taking the tops off the plastic bottles,as I might use it as a missile.
however , I,ve now got over this by hiding spare tops ,about my person.

Do the stewards actually do a "body search" or just check your bag ?

Load of cobblers. It's a football stadium not a restaurant. Burgers, chips, pies etc, what more do you want?
We go there for the football not the bloody food.

They tend not to search season ticket holders.

Witton end lower last season, I think I was"frisked" on at least 6 occasions,
Kind of expect it now , so I just walk toward a steward with my arms out
pretending to be an plane, this has a confusing affect on steward.

I was drinking pints on the terraces at Rugby Town the other week.

The meals in the Holte Suite are very good value. When there is a midday game, they do a great breakfast and the carveries are very popular.

As I said on another message, I often need food in and around VP as I travel a distance especially week games, but there is nothing to choose from, I don't fancy dirty burgers or hot dogs!

PS been in Witton as a ST holder for 8 years, never been searched.
