Well Weimann was happy to wear it..

"Obviously it's an honour to wear the number nine shirt. I don't think I will have it during the season - I am just happy to wear it now.

"I am going to give it my best for the whole season. Maybe I can get it into a few squads and we will see how it goes from there.

"Hopefully I can get a few games in the cup and perhaps in the Europa League."

Forever the optomist I've gone with new signing. But I'm also of the opinion that in these days of squad numbers a player shouldn't change number unless they're signing a new contract commiting themselves to the club. In which case I'm praying Heskey won't be sporting the number 9 shirt next season!
