Eric Lichaj starts for the USA vs Spain. Bradley on the bench.

LINK if you have Veetle installed. Really good HD stream.

We've never replaced Andy Townsend.

Or Dennis Mortimer.
or Bruce Rioch

Was Bent's miss as bad as people are making out? Didn't see it.

No it was not. Ball came out at him fairly fast and he needed to avoid the advancing goalkeeper combined with the fact that he was leaning back ended up in a shot about 6 inches over the bar.

Shocker.
He's no Robbie Keane that's for sure :)

I hadn't even realised England played tonight until listening to Radio 5 in my car this evening. Which is probably indicative of my interest in international football - zero.

Clinical from Keano, 0-2.

Indeed. 51 and counting. Another imperious performance from Given, dispelled the myth about not commanding his area there in the first half by coming through Darren O'Dea and some Macedonian to punch clear. I'd give anything at this stage to have him between the sticks for Villa.

Must be nice for him to get a game.

We should just go and get Given. He was brilliant (as always) tonight.

It wasn't an all-time bad like Rosenthal or Iwelumo. It was pretty bad though!

Downing should've scored at the end too. Hopefully Dalglish was watching and thought "nah, he's pish".
