Ray Wilkins just referred to "tippy tappy stuff"

He did indeed. In amongst his constant references to keeping possesion, stating the bleedin' obvious and giving us all a coaching and tactics masterclass.

Another Wilkinsism 'a 50/50 ball, is a 50/50 ball' Thanks Ray. I'd also like him to stop referring to Spurs as 'we'.

Why does Wilkins say everything in that "and that is a fact" tone of voice?

He sounds like he's having some sort of breakdown "Yeah! Cos Ricky has never done that!" (Carvalho)

Carvalho has shirt pulled in area, clear pen. Wilkins 'Well Ricky has never pulled a shirt' I'm not sure of the relevance of that to this situation.

I think Real could have had 3 penalties here.

I'm not sure I can cope with another 45 minutes of this commentary.

Shamelessly biased, ref is having a brilliant game according to Ray until spurs don't get a decision and then it's a shocker.

Am on the train home so not watching. Saw tales of a red card. I hope they lose eighty seven(87) - 0.

He said "this referee, this young man, is top drawer tonight" - about a minute after he'd said he'd missed a clear penalty for Real.

It's the weirdest commentating performance I've ever heard.

It's very irritating. The 'we' references are very irritating. He's also said 'got to stay on your feet' literally about 15 times.

Worldwide, incidentally.
