From what I saw of it, Blues fully deserved to win. They had more spirit than Arsenal, and more importantly, they have a decent goalkeeper and know how to defend.

That match showed up Wenger's bizarre bllindness in refusing to understand that he needs both a bit of steel and determination in amongst all the fantastic passing, and a decent goalkeeper. Until he sorts that out, Arsenal won't win anything.

I really wanted Blues to lose, but there's no point being bitter about them winning, that'd be small time. It's a bit disappointing, but they played very well, and they deserved it, so fair play.

I said something like that to my missus. She asked if I was feeling alright.

My Mrs said "do you want me to turn it back on so you can see the celebrations?" whilst laughing at me.

It's horrible sometimes, football.

If Wenger hadn't inherited one of the best back fours of recent times when he took over Arsenal they would never have won half the things they did.  Why Wenger can't see what everyone can is beyond me.  I think this could be the last season for him at Arsenal.

My boss has rung me twice from "The Champagne Lounge" at Euston where he says he is drinking cans of Stella in a "Shabby Chic" kind of way.
The first time it was to say he felt bad because we only had 3 songs and they'd taken one away, and the second to say he'd heard a rumour that they'd won a cup today, and he needed me to confirm it.
He is one of the better noses I know - this is going to be a very long week.

For all Wenger's pretty football and discovery of unknown talent, they haven't won anything in six years and that's unacceptable to a team like Arsenal.

A team like Arsenal who had won next to bugger all before Wenger came along.
I reckon they owe him some slack yet.

I'm guessing you're being ironic Dave?

Agree 100% - if anything, it made me even more pissed off that we didn't take our opportunity last year.

I am pretty one eyed when it comes to that lot but I thought Arsenal should have won at a trot. SHA huffed and puffed and Arsenal haven't relly got the stones to deal with that,

A crying shame.

Going out for a pint tomorrow night with a Blues supporting mate, didn't occur to me when we arranged it that I would be having to deal with this. Will have to get my tactics right in advance.

Just congratulate him and be very, very patronising.
It won't be easy but be strong Chris, be strong!

Song for Wednesday night:

Birmingham City
Birmingham City
Three long days and they've won f*ck all
Birmingham City

At least that's something one less song we can sing about them.  Who knows the Holte End might actually come up with a song about Villa.

I think George Graham might have something to say about that.

What a lovely goal that was from Scott Parker.
