Barcelona shouldn't have eased up and should have left Villa on while replacing the ineffectual Pedro. They should still go through so long as Valdes doesn't get distracted by a lovely-looking sparrow or whatever it was he was watching when Van Persie kicked the ball straight past him two inches from his static hand.

Fair play to Spuds, I cant get my head around some on here wanting them to lose to an Italian club

Then, you're frankly mad.

Then you're a small minded wanker if we're going to resort to petty insults

'Small-minded wanker' from the bloke that wants a team to lose... to fucking Spurs!!! ... just because they are foreign.

Out of interest, did you cheer for Blues during their Anglo-Italian glory days?

Do you get the feeling Valdes doesn't normally have to do too much goalkeeping?

That might explain why he didn't seem aware of the rule that allows him to use his hands.

Barcelona should have won that, and will do them comfortably over there.

2-1 isn't nearly enough.

Another bumper crowd at Wigan - 7,515. Bolton won 1-0.

Depressing to think how we are a million miles away from that - I suspect we could barely cope with two games a week, never mind playing to that sort of standard

Barcelona are the best club side I have ever seen. You might as well pack it in if not being as good as that depresses you. I know people who follow teams like Crewe and Brentford if they got all maudlin everytime they saw a side better than they are then the game would die.

What's so wrong with fucking spurs?! Are they any more arrogant than us when we're winning? You prefer the Italian equivalent of Man utd do you? Seems to be fashionable to really hate spurs these days for some reason. Petty, small mindedness as I said. By the way If you dont like getting insults back then dont give them out in the first place

Keeper never had a chance. It was an absolute bullet. Brilliant goal.

If he hadn't been a yard from his post he'd have saved it. Good goal but it was mistake from the keeper.

The second mind you was a peach.
He obviously thought he had it covered but then nobody understandably expected the ball to be hit with such power and from such a tight angle. I think he expected Van Persie to cross the ball.

At least it we won't have to read 'Wonderful World Beaters Spurs' Day II tomorrow. Plus we all know Barca will destroy the Arse at Nou Camp.

Goodnight. Bit of a difference between 'mad' and 'wanker'.

Point of order.

Milan aren't the Italian equivalent of Man United. Juventus are.

It's not fashion, we just hate them.
