So the England team has got Cahill, Barry, Downing, Bent, Young & Milner in and around the eleven.   I wonder what they've got in common?  Only the best football club in history, that's all.

So many Villa and ex Villa players playing for England, not bad for a half arsed club eh Holloway.

Read this on the Telegraph site about tonight's match

Quote
Bent enhanced his cause, not simply with his poacher’s striker to cancel out Daniel Agger’s headed opener, but with his constant running. Capello clearly sees Andy Carroll as England’s long-term No 9 but Bent showed he is an able deputy.

Capello clearly sees Carroll as the long term num 9?

A player he's called up, what, once? And who has played an entire 20 or so premier league matches?

And even if he does see Andy Carroll as England's 'long term number 9' I'm not sure it really matters as he will be England manager for approximately fourteen more months.

Bring back Doug, he was right all all along!

Carroll *must* be a better player than Bent. He cost more. Although, since Bent doesn't drink, he may miss fewer games by injuring himself falling off a barstool while drinking Jagerbombs.

I can barely be arsed to give a fuck about England these days, but it was nice to see Villa win my country a football match.

Not a bad game really. I've been really impressed with that Eriksen kid for Denmark in midfield, he looks quality.

he does ..   who does he play for?
