Do you think O'Neill might have a new job by the end of the week?

Silly old Roy. A few more years at Fulham, nice little nest egg. Now? Just another Liverpudlian unemployment statistic.

I thought it was interesting that he felt compelled to point out this week, that his contract would have to be paid up in full if he is asked to leave by the new owners.

Yeah, I agree. You'd want out if you were in that situation, wouldn't you? I know I would.

I know its stating the obvious but that Lucas is abysmal isn't he. Very impressed by Coleman again.

TBH any manager in situ when new owners come in will be in danger. But when he was first appointed I did mention he has a reasonably poor record with top teams with serious expectations in this country. So hopefully they will keep him on.

Just noticed that if it stays like this Liverpool drop to second from bottom. If Everton suddenly scored another four goals they finish this weekend bottom.*

* I'm aware that at this stage of the season it is meaningless but it is still funny.

They do look a complete shambles at the moment.

I think it's brilliant.

Is Moyes trying to throw it away? He has took off Arteta for Beckford. I suppose if Beckford does score then it will rub it in the redscouse face more but it is a heck of a gamble. Unlucky to get booked for his first challenge though.

Beckford's pace will be useful on the counter, and he can put the Liverpool defence under pressure when they get the ball. Start pressing the opposition as early as possible, it's a good tactic.
