Just imagine the deluded, arrogant spuds fans ringing up TalkSport tonight suggesting they might have a chance at winning the Champions League... although I imagine 'arry would be the first one to make that phone call.

I can't think of many things to make the current football situation more miserable than it is, but Spurs reaching the group stages would do it.

Yeah, everything does seem doom and gloom at the moment but it'd be hilarious watching spuds getting tonked 6-0 away to Barca which would probably happen.

Gomez wants to come off as he's injured but Rednapp is not having a bar of it.

I think Spurs will win this going away. 1-0 up, two away goals and they are good at home anyway. Watching them in home games is how I would want us to play at VP. Which is why West Ham, (seems ages ago now) was such a treat.

We've just got to forget about last week (difficult, I know) and treat it like a freak one-off result.

Fuck Spurs, though. I shall be making strenuous efforts to avoid their group matches when televised. I'd really rather have root canal work done than sit through the predictable media slavering.
