Compare and contrast Milner's and Ireland's debuts for their new clubs...
Despite the efforts of Mr Lerner I honestly think this is the final straw for me. It's just happened far too many times now, this stings beyond belief.I'm sure a lot of people think I'm being a bit of a drama queen but somebody else mentioned Yorke. That's Yorke, Barry and Milner. ARGUABLY the three best players for Villa since the formation of the Premier League. What's the point if we can't compete anymore???

What's the point if we can't compete anymore???YOu say that but at the end of the day it's business. Two of those players came in for pretty much next to nothing and we sold them on for handsome profit. Milner was bought for £12m and three years later we sold him for £24m.Look at other teams, even in recent seasons sell good players.Spurs - Carrick, Berbatov, Keane, Defoe. Man Utd - Ronaldo, Ince, Kanchelskis, Beckham before.Arsenal - Anelka, err others.Liverpool - Owen.I think what's with the Villa is at times they haven't invested the significant cash obtained from the deals / thrown at them, correctly. Think Watson, Stone, Ginola, Balaban, Collymore, Thompson...If we'd had a bit of nous about us in the early to mid years of the nineties then we'd be a formidable team now with a good Champions League pedigree.

They are going to win the league according to Gobby. If they are in with a shout in January they will just go out and buy several more world class players. Correct me if I'm wrong but how many World class players have they actually bought. Tevez is one I will count.
Yaya Toure was probably one of the best defensive midfielders when at Barcalona, he could be a maybe.Thing is how many world class players actually ply there trade in the premiership? Its a description that gets banded about too much by the pundits. I think they have got a lot of able players that on paper should do very well in our league.
