I think Collins was carrying an injury. His lower leg was strapped up. I was two rows back from the front right in the corner where it happened. He looked rather disgruntled as he removed his shinpad.

Comedy moment of the night: One rather large Villa fan being removed from the pitch at half-time by around about 6 stewards, 2 of which proceeded to fall over the hoardings as they carried him off.

Another comedy moment was when the Walsall PA was telling the Villa fans to sit down because they were blocking the view for Kids. Just wanted him to shout out "Just think of the Children!!!"

Albrighton and Bannan impressed. Carew was superb. Good little run out. Friendly natives.

Interesting that Carew looks so sharp. I've said many times, give him the service and he'll look brilliant. If crosses meant for his had are going into the Holte, then he has every right to look disinterested and pissed off.

Good run and shot from Albrighton now on the left.

Mon can't resist playing players out of position can he?

Was MON actually there tonight I couldn't see him

I don't know, but Albrighton was excellent on the left too.

Albrighton was man of the match without question, but Bannan ran him close. I'd have been concerned if Carew hadn't been as good as he was given the opposition. Reo Coker, Sidwell & Shorey were okayish but Davies looked at home....

I thought the word was that Bannan had no future at Villa? If that was the case, then I hope he's changed MON's mind, he's got real talent.

As the Percy next to me said, "Stick him out on loan then ask yourself if you'd sign him."

That's a good way to put it. Judged on his football at Blackpool, I might just, but on his off-field antics I'd have my doubts. I agree, give him another loan.

If we sell him now we'd be lucky to get a £1million. Let him have a season at Blackpool and we'll either see him come into his own and prove he's worth a shot or he'll show he's not and we can move him on for a similar amount.

I doubt we'd get anything much for a untried Premier League cast-off (which is what he'd be). A loan spell until January at least.

Pissed off that Millie's shift had ended by the time I saw the posts about her looking gorgeous.

One thing that's been overlooked is Freidel's good saves on occasions.
