I'll never understand MON's treatment of Luke Young. One of the best right backs I've seen at villa.

Not sure how old you are Irish so do forgive me, but he would be way down my list. He wouldn't even make the top 5. But then I'm no great fan of Luke Young, think he is hugely over-rated. Realise I am in a minority of one in thinking that mind you!

Make it a minority of two, Richard, I'm with you on this. I think he gets sucked out of position to easily and goes to ground too readily. I also think he's no better than competent going forward, and that he's hardly a young player going to improve either. Cuellar offers us more defensively than Luke Young does in attack (and certainly in defence), so I can see exactly the thinking behind MON's team selection.

I am 24! For me he was competing with the likes of Steve Watson, Gary Charles, Fernando Nelson, Mark Delaney(who I rate very highly) and the various centre backs (and midfielders) MON has deployed in the position.

Ah, well that gives me some context Irish. Lucky you, I wish I was 24 again but the advantage of being an old git is I did manage to see the likes of Gidman in the flesh...

Towards the end of last season MON said he would include him in the 1st team squad, I was hoping he would get on the bench but MON did it again to us.

Scored two, could've easily had more. His all round game isn't quite up to scratch imo so I'd send him out on loan for a bit.
