They did something similar previously...

Very true indeed. It's a pity they didn't do it properly.

This is the best shirt I've seen for a while.

Think it's really smart and our second best Nike home shirt.

Mate went into the club shop today. Was told that there was a possibility that the home shirt wouldn't be available until after the season had started and the away shirt could be as late as September. Something at Nike's end apparently.

Labour supply problems, good old Nike.

The club should sue them for loss of income.

by the time it comes out on genral sale we will have a new kit we should all boycott buying it until they realise that shirts should be on release at least a month before other clubs manage to do it.its not like this is the first time thias has happened

The World Cup's been on so that's gonna push production of club shirts back.

We've pissed around and delayed with the new sponsor (exactly as we did last season when we didn't confirm Acorns again 'till quite late on).

We're way down on Nike's list of priorities anyway. It might not be nice to accept, but they do also have the likes of Man Utd, Barcelona, Inter, Arsenal, Porto, Celtic who I'm sure all sell far more shirts thna us.

We've got a genuine deal with the biggest sportswear brand in the world, we should be happy we've got them. Even if we have to wait a bit for the kits. I'd much prefer that than to have a Le Coq Sportif, Puma or Macron like some of our divisional rivals.

I wouldn't JJ. I think Spurs' Puma kit is pretty good in a retro way, that Forest kit by Umbro up there is bang on too.

What's the point in a genuine deal if we get some re-hashed stuff from a few years back?

The Spurs kit is classier than ours, by miles. Retro-tastic.

I agree Paulie. I haven't seen it with the sponsor on it, but it'll still be pretty cool. I like that they did something different, but not.. "crappy" different.

I guess it's all about opinions though.

I agree the Spurs home shirt this season is very smart. But look at their away kits and their 3 shirts last year.

All fucking shite. This one is very much a one off.

The Umbro kits are nice, but everyone is getting the same 'tailored by Umbro' range where they just strip the shirt down to the basics. Again I don't mind it (the Forest kit is well smart), but we've had that pretty much the last two seasons and people moaned then. We get a genuine Villa design from the biggest sportswear brand in the world. It ain't that bad!

That's the thing though, I can't see it as a genuine Villa design when it's pretty much exactly the same as the (forgive me, I forgot the name of the club) Rens FC (?) kit. Even down to the checks on the socks! It's not that bad a kit, but it's the deal with Nike that I'm questioning.

The other thing, minor but I had held out hope for something, was that as someone on this site mentioned this is our 100th year in the top flight, so, I'd hoped Nike would maybe do something towards that, but I don't think they have. As I said, that's just a personal one really.

That said, Spurs can't get their shirts for sale until September.

We moan, but it appears that there are other clubs being held back by their shirt producers.

I never uy the shirt, but I think (economically speaking) the club is missing out by not being able to sell early on.
