I'd like to think it's £4m (at least what Fulham get) so we're getting £12m over the three years.

Decent business!

I'm going to guess that it's FXPro.

In the same way as when the sponsor was Rover we didn't just wear shirts with 'Cars' written on them and when it was Muller the shirts didn't just say 'Yoghurts'.

Yoghurts would have been a great sponsor.

I also would have liked the following on our shirt:

Men
Toilets
Browns
Fun
Animals
Pacas
Countries
Anuses
Grunty
Tony

Yep, about 5 pages ago.

Why is everyone just assuming that this company is in anyway unethical. I can't see any evidence from anything I have read online that we would suggest this. The whole financial services industry is not corrupt despite the press of the last 2 years.

I would prefer to trust Randys judgement on this. If you think he is the sort of person to sell out to anything dodgy or unethical then I think we should probably be questioning what other motives he has with regards his ownership of the club.l

If it helps here is a link to their Corporate Social Responsibility page.

https://www.fxpro.com/csr

Where do you draw the line? We all walk around with mobile phones probably built in a far east sweatshop, eat in fast food chains responsible for increases in child obesitry, use medicines and cosmetics tested on animals. I am sure if we had announced Nokia or McDonalds or Glaxo as shirt sponsors everyone would have been quite happy.

I think there's a lot of truth to what you've said there. FxPro doesn't seem glamorous like a major brand might have been, but like you, I haven't read anywhere that they are anything but a good company. Sure, they don't have a lot of history but it doesn't make them a bad company to be associated with. Just imagine if we had done this deal a couple of months ago with a massive oil company like BP. It would been "great", ooh for about 4 minutes and then royally shit thereafter.

There's nothing wrong with this business.  They're not a household name - so what?  If they are 4 years old as is reported earlier up this chain (before it deteriorated into something off MSN), they've done a cracking job to ride out the worst recession we've had in generattions.  They must be very well managed.  To be fair, the same could be said for F&C over at the Sty.

Forex trading is often win-win - when the dollar is strong against the pound the trade goes one way, years later the next.  Their profit from trading is still the same.

Let's hope they can help Randy get a better Euro rate for some of this summers transfers.

Well I for one welcome our new overlords and if they need any help in rounding up any spare cash from malingering Villa fans then I am ready to help.

I am.

Seriously though. What do people expect us to do? We've just done a very honorable thing by having ACORNS on the front of our shirt. Then when we sort out our largest ever sponsorship deal people moan at that. Maybe Randy should just let everybody in for free to Villa Park. Maybe he can employ a personal masseur for everybody to enjoy whilst they watch the game?

thankyou...

My point was, we now have a sponsor that's giving us a bit of cash... and people are moaning that we're being unethical and the like.

Get a life.

you are the biggest prick I have ever come accross on here

I think, technically, in a manner of speaking, you've broken the rules and have to be officially warned.

For what? Poor spelling?
