Speculation suggests a low estimate would be £3-5million per year.

Yep, dark socks go well.

We should go with either claret or black socks.

Black socks for sure.  Claret and blue hoops at the top.  Ace

The only figure I have seen is in a report in The Express - clicky, which suggests a whopping £20m over 3 years.

I can't see it being £20m over three years as that woud top the deals Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Man City are all on.  And frankly our profile is not yet big enough to be able to do that.

However, the article does raise an interesting point about the finances.  New shirt deal, Gardner sold in Jan, potential HUGE income from Milner and then the other players set to go.  Is Randy lining up a 'war chest' for one last big spending spree before the new UEFA rules come in?

The figure does tie in with what I've heard. Something in the region of £6m per year with some incentives.

Bear in mind that this is a deal concluded very recently and that deals done by other clubs have been agreed a while ago. But we are a top Premier League club after all and our deals should reflect that. Plus, the people who run this club are no mugs.

I'm sure Randy & Co have negotiated hard, but the Liverpool deal with Standard Mutual, reported to be £20m over 4 years, only comes in next season.  I just can't see us getting more per season than they do.  A smaller deal with incentives that could therefore potentially rise to £20m, such as CL qualification, sounds more likely to me!

No it wouldn't. Liverpool's deal  with Standard Chartered is £20 million per season.

Ads has already corrected this. I'll add that (if my info is correct) we are getting what is reported in the Express and that the incentives are a very minor percentage of this.

If it's £20m a season they're getting then I stand corrected.  Fucking ridiculous if it is, but it would make £6m a year sound more likely for us!

It is silly money. Its bigger than Man Utds deal with Aon and few would argue Man Utd are significantly bigger than Liverpool.
Unfortunately for Liverpool, there is a black hole of cash there that will swallow it up.

It will cover their debt interest payments only for instance. So I can't see them using that cash to reinforce much.

The Liverpool deal is certainly a big one but I am sure the £20million was dependent on them getting Champs League football. I fear for them that finishing seventh has hit this sum.

According to RL's quotes a while back, it's more likely that any windfall from a new commercial shirt sponsor will go primarily towards the North Stand redevelopment.
