I've been to Blues and West Brom games not featuring Villa.  Had a mate (now no longer with us) who was a Blues fan and I'd go to watch Blues with him he'd come and see the Villa with me.  My older brother took me to see a West Brom match on Boxing day during the Ron Atkinson days.

Twice, our headmaster at school got all of our year tickets for Blues vs Norwich which they won 2-0. This would have been 1999/00.

2nd time was 2007/8 when they lost 1-0 to Man. United, Ronaldo scored.

That man was put in charge of kids?? Good god.

Had quite a few mates, who were noses back in the late 70's. When the Villa were playing away quite often I'd go to the sty with them, fortunately they always seemed to lose. They had Tarrantini & a few other nobodies who were no comparison to the likes of Little, Gray, Mortimer, Cowans etc.....

Taken by my dad with his workmates to Inter Cities Fairs Cup game v Inter 1961. Blues won, sadly. Buffon was in goal, distant relation to the present Buffon.Hitchens and Greaves scored against him in England's win in Rome  shortly after, which persuaded the Milan clubs to buy them.

Once in 92 I think, it was their last game of the season and I went with two blue nose mates, and another who's villa. Even got on the pitch at the whistle, then got home and saw myself  in the centre pages of the pink paper! Fuckin shit hole.

Can't remember who it was against but they were losing at home 0-3 and I was with my mate a nose, they were giving Dave Geddis absolute dogs abuse and he was subbed off. As he trudged off he turned around and gave the Kop at SHA the V's. was a class moment.

Been a couple of times but had mischief on my mind .

1st time was the the week after our Visit to West Ham in that quarterfinal . Blues played west ham the following week so we decided we would have some payback for our treatment down there.

It ended badly we ran into a large mob of West Ham the Blues fans legged it leaving me and a couple of other Villa lads to take a right kicking by the Atlas .

It could have been worse but the one ICF lad spotted my Villa badge and they left us be and called game fckrs.

The next time we turned up after a game at Leicester or Coventry which was an early kick off and tried to get into the kop.

You do daft things as a kid.

I agree the 76 game was crazy , copper got pulled of his horse and there was hundreds of Villa on the car park at the back of the kop hurling everything.

As people said there was running battles around the ground and into town .

I only lived in Alum Rock but went into town ,missing the last bus and having to get the night service.

Old man went crazy , as Percy said school the next day was crackers . Villa all in the one corner of the playground Blues the other.

I went with a group of referees when I was in the Worcester Refs society. They gave us free tickets as I think Gerald Ashby from Worcester was ref. It was vs Newcastle in whatever they called the 2nd division in those days.

Biggest joke was the guided tour of the ground before the match. The changing rooms are basically not much more than out buildings you would get at a local parks pitch and the trophy room (yes they do have a small one) had this great big cup in the middle. Leyland DAF I think - and they had it in a glass case so nobody could nick it!

Was with the lads who went in the kop in '82 but bottled it outside. I played football for the Trooper so knew them all and it wasn't a good move. another time was with a small group of chelmsley/coleshill villa lads outside the kop and bumped straight into young zulus who i knew very well so avoided the whole thing.  It was often a cat and mouse game growing up on chelmsley and being villa in the 80s although i hear its a lot different now.

Went with a load of my nose mates when I was about 15. T Francis esq made his debut. Remember thinking he was shit hot.
Is this bad?
Do I need to see a priest?

Mate of mine (big Villa fan) organised a college reunion...at the D Club at the Sty.
I couldn't believe it then and still haven't forgiven him.
I remind him of this regularly and he apologises every time!
UTV!

I thought that Staunton scored first and Cantona equalised! Anyone else got any other variations?
Thats correct

Definitely Staunton first with Hughes scumming an equaliser. From memory I can't remember Cantona ever scoring against us. Big game bottler.

Correct. Stan first then Hughes equalised. Also I'm sure Cantona scored twice against us at Old Trafford in 93/94 when we lost 3-1 and Neil Cox scored for us.

Didn't Neil Cox stick his fingers up at them when he scored?
I think that was in a 3-1 defeat at Ot. A consolation goal near the end of the game.

I remember seeing him on his debut and you're right, he was frighteningly shit hot.

Fortunately, they managed to coach a lot of it out of him.

Went to Maine Road with our kid to see their last-minute Cup semi-final defeat to Fulham. The blokes from his work had a mini-bus but, typically, couldn't fill it without asking Villa fans to help them out.

I've had more fun, but not much.
