I thought Milner was represented by the PFA rather than an agent.....am i wrong or has this changed?

A very hasty googling says that this ain't so; I give you Jason Ferguson:

Any coincidence that the season he gets a private agent ends with this situation?

We all predicted it would be at the time, but in hindsight what an almighty cockup the back half of 08/09 was.

Looking at the league this year Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal should be uncatachable for us. Citeh and Spurs were better last year and have/will have improved and Liverpool look to be in better shape.

Might be a while before an oppertunity like that comes around again. It's vital we invest this Milner money well for the long term, like Spurs did with their big incomes a few years ago.

SSN have been banging on about Steven Defour being heavily linked to Man Yoo...any takers as a Milner replacement?

He was linked with us a few years ago.

Looked decent whenever I've seen him, but seeing as that's in the Belgian league it's always hard to know how that would translate to the Prem.

A few have mentioned Witsel recently, and that's one player from Belgium who I think would be more suited. Tall, athletic (though could probably do with filling out a bit more) and can play defensive mid or (strangely) out wide.

Bit of a nasty streak too. Too nasty, on occasion.

Certainly on one occasion, I'm not sure about others.

I must admit, I'd quite like to see a nasty bastard who can play in our midfield. I'm thinking Roy Keane rather than Martin Taylor.

Me too.  I was hoping there may have been a chance of getting De Jong out of Citeh as part of the Milner deal, but I don't think there is.

I would be looking at O'Hara or Prince Boateng alongside Ireland...

It's annoying, £27million is apparently our asking price and they're going to £24million?

We're backed into a corner a bit, it's nothing to them. Just pay up.

Why should they, they hold all the cards.

Not all of them, for what it's worth, we still own the player!

My wife's half brother's nephew is friends with Jack Walker's granddaughter, and she reckons Heskey is off to Blackburn.

Sounds like 'Lames to Fame' that used to be in Viz.

Has anyone spotted Heskey mooching around Blackburn estate agents yet?
