It's funny that in the last two seasons,there best players,Ireland and Bellamy probably wont be there this season. Can see what their logic in buying virtually a new side,this must cause unrest in the squad,think there gonna implode and Mancini will be gone by Christmas,then the process will start all over again.

The Milner situation will only be  a problem if we keep him and he doesn't sign a new contract. If he does sign 'improved terms' we can have another year or two and flog if we have to for loadsamoney.  

I would hope we could keep him and improve our side without all this  rebuilding but like most I think he will eventually be sold unfortunately.

Milner is not so good that if Man C do not sign him this window they will keep trying until they get him.

If we keep him, this time next year Man C will have moved on and be interested in God knows who else instead.  Milner will know that or his agent will tell him, so he will sign a new contract with us after the window closes.  An extra £40k a week in the hand now is worth twice as much in the bush next year.

Dunno what kind of success rate the Football Pools.com has with transfers. I'm guessing it's similar to you winning the actual pools judging by some of those other obscure transfer links listed.

But to engage in this flight of fantasy for a brief moment: for £5 million? Send him this way.

Not 100% out and out top class. Won't be getting into any 'Best of' selections out of any of the teams he's played for to date. But very good at what he does, allowing more attack-minded players to do their thing.

I'm convinced that Man City are not only intent on buying up the best possible players but taking the best players of their rivals.

I really hate the direction football is going.
