The Kia C'eed - WTF is that all about?

Weird name.

It has to do with the European-orientated design of the car and the KIA marketing people took EEC and reversed it and added the 'd to make it easier to pronounce.

And, no, I am not making it up.

Here you go.

There are some absolute hum dingers on that thread. Goes to show you how wrong you can be when being so definitive on opinion based on limited information or knowledge.[/quote]
What ever happened cb? Hilarious, if not unexpected assessment from him on the Dunne signing. Wonder if he still thinks he's O'Neill's worst signing.

Worse still is the three door sports version Pro_Cee'd. Really a car with the underscore in it's name.

Martin has long bought the cheap, solid, dependable but average Kia type players. I'd really like a BMW type signing. That said a Kia would be preferable to McGeady.

I still maintain though that McGeady will be a crap signing. A few pages back VillaSubmariner said that he'd prefer Albrighton. I absolutely agree as the comparison to Albrighton illustrates what is wrong with McGeady. Admittedly he is lightweight but McGeady is as bad for that and at least Albrighton can cross McGeady has the end product of an impotent man and relies on his sole trick that probably won't work in the EPL.

I do recall saying when Blues were linked with him I was laughing myself silly for the reasons I've outlined.

My parents have a Kia Sedona. Within two weeks they had to have a bloke out to fit a new clutch.

KIAs are quite good these days. McGeady is more of a Robin Reliant.

Aaaarghhhh!

It's a Reliant Robin!

Sorry, pet hate of mine.

If mcgeady comes I will get behind him but it's not his signing that bothers me as much as the fact it's another winger and we have much bigger priorities at right back , midfield and striker!

Some fella in SSN studio just said he'd heard that Villa hope to tie up a deal for McGeady within the next week. Plus we are working on Keane and ALL parties are interested!

Edit: I'd like to add that I am less than Whelmed with both, BUT if the manager thinks they are what we need then fair do's. I just thought this summer would be different....I really did!

McGeady will be a squad player at best. If it were sensible money, I wouldn't mind, but we're gonna pay through the nose. I think he could certainly do no worse than Downing last season, but I expect Stewie to improve a lot this season.

As for Keane. He may well be past it, OR he'll do a Dunne and hit the groun running and get back to his best. It's worth the gamble because he's quality on his day and the kind of striker we lack.

However, perhaps with their time together at Ireland and Celtic, Keane and McGeady have some kind of Xavi/Iniesta form of telepathy going? Or am I pissing in the wind?

Would be underwhelming. But for me, the most important buys this summer will be CM. Milner or not we need another quality holding player. If Milner leaves, we need two quality players in. For me, Gabby, Carew and Keane, as well as Fonz will supply enough goals up front.

Perhaps, McGeady comes in and we play him and Downing wide, and Ash behind the striker in a free role?

I'd like that. Ash could kick on to another level playing a free role I feel. Maybe Martin sees that.

I'd like that but with another winger in place of McGeady. Perhaps Bentley.

Get in another midfielder like Parker or a more defensive midfielder to play with Petrov in the shorter term.

People talk about us becoming like Ireland with some of these lads we've been linked with but McGeady is behind Liam Lawrence who can't hold down a place at Stoke in the Ireland pecking order.

I'm not massively convinced by Keane. But we know he can play, and if he's motivated maybe he can do for us what Deano did number of years back.

Also, McGeady doesn't have to play out wide. Or if he does, maybe Ash can play in the hole behind the forwards.

In general I like to think of myself as a positive happy clapper type, but I'm starting to get a feeling in my muddy waters that Milner will be off and Downing will be moved inside with McGeady swapping wings with Ashley. Now the only way that is really going to work is if Ireland is part of the Citeh deal and he and Downing play in a three with Petrov just behind them. Or maybe Keane is the idea instead of Ireland?

likely starting line up for Wet Spam?
