Not a bad shout on Walcott there Maz. He has his critics but he does produce when hes playing with confidence and playing consistently could be a better proposition than sitting on the bench most of the time at Arse. Having competition for our wingers would raise the game of both Ash and Downing.

Still think its priority to sign a proven goalscorer this summer.

Benayoun or Ireland (preferably both)
Konchesky
Richards
Walcott
Forlan or someone else?

As was mentioned on here, I went off the idea of Rodagella when I saw him outpaced by Sol Campbell.

Yes, Torres and Rooney are faster than Gabby, Young and Lennon.

Although none of them are as fast as my beard itching hand.

I'd bloody love Walcott here and none of this playing him on the wing nonsnse, up front, which is where i think he'd be more effective, like he was for the U21's.

Sadly, i can't see Wenger letting him go.

I think Babel would be more effective than Downing, I'd take him.

That team Maz posted is fantastic. And it's attainable. I can't see us adding 4 players to our first team though.

I also can't see the likes of Downing and Petrov not being automatic first choice either. Especially after what MON was saying about players getting to play regularly here.

Getting to play regularly as long as they are good enough. The likes of Sidwell, Young and NRC used to be regulars too. He'll replace and upgrade some of the starting XI or else how will we improve?

Fair play to big Sol. There`s  a lot of variables in that
speed data, mind.  Speaking of which, how often does
Gabby get to open his legs and show his class ?

All to often judging by the amount of 'ickle Gabby's running around Brum.

when can we actually buy players?

obviously after the MON/RL meeting first but when does the transfer window start?

From now in theory. But I would expect a lot of it will wait until after the World Cup now apart from the odd gamble from clubs who can afford whatever the cost and are not worried about massive injuries being picked up.

whats that got to do with us, he wont be looking abroad.. ;-))

I hate that when everyone says transfers wont happen until after the WC or Euro champinship, it always really frustrates me ;-s

Guzan, Collins, Clark, Petrov, Downing, Carew, Delfouneso

O.K, there isnt a new out and out striker perhaps but still a lot of potential for goals in that side I think.

I cant see Wham letting Parker go. fans will blow the ground up.

I would love Ireland or Hieb in the team. Richards and Clyne fighting for  RB and Petric up front with wickham for the bench.

Just need to find a young Essien somewhere  *looks to heaven*
