I ran just over 9km yesterday in 45 minutes, the longest and furthest I've run in a good while and especially so since a cancer diagnosis last year. 30 minutes was the limit due to pain in my abdomen post surgery but it seems like that issue is no more with luck. Feels like I'm a million miles away from where I was 2 years ago, a Team GB age group athlete at 70.3 Ironman and competing in European Championships. But, I'm on the mend and on the right track, I've a London Marathon slot for 2027 (deferred from 2026 due to the above) and I'm actively looking for races later this year maybe even a few trail 10ks late summer along the south west coast path. Need to shift more timber for sure and get back on a strict plan rather than an adhoc one.

Excellent news Jon, glad to see you’re on the way back.
