Thnks mate. Got a bit of a cold/sore throat, so breathing should be fun!

Done, 1:57. Bit too sunny for my liking.

Cheers lads. Only my second ever half, so pleased to get in under two hours, especially as I’m full of a cold and generally feeling like shite.

Fantastic stuff Risso. Especially as you weren't feeling too best.

The more you do the better you will get.

Thanks lads. I quite enjoyed it, although by the end I was questioning how the fuck you're expected to run the same distance again for a full marathon! Oh well, 7 weeks and I'll find out!

15 minutes faster than my first half, which I'll take.

Risso good luck with your first marathon, you are right it is a big step up from a half marathon.
The key is not to get carried away and just think it is just two half marathons. Take it easy in the first half and just enjoy it, conserving as much energy as possible for the second half. Also, keep very hydrated throughout.

Leicester half marathon today, really enjoyed it, and got a new PB of 1:56. Had plenty in the tank at the end, as I wanted to practice running a bit easier, with New York in three weeks.

It was a fantastic event. Really well supported, and with a large turnout. Lovely crowd watching as well. An elderly Asian shopkeeper on the 'Golden Mile' was handing out drinks from his shop, and another couple were giving out little bags of sweets from theirs, which they'd even taken the tops off. Gospel choirs, Indian dancers, various bands of all nationalities., absolutely brilliant. A really great course too, with the second half through Watermead Country park which was glorious. Highly recommended.

Cheers lads! Made the mistake of looking at the elevation for New York, last night J. A nice two mile hill to start with, bastards!

Supposed to be one of the toughest?

By far the toughest of the majors apparently, Berlin being the flattest and therefore easiest.
