would any other club other than a london club with plenty of friends in the london press get this kind of coverage.

Must be great for rentagob and his dildo mate

They're forever looking at free stadiums these guys.

They never succeeded with Blose, and it looks like they won't succeed with West Ham.

They are boring me !

"Not as an Olympic athletics stadium but a regional stadium with seating facility commensurate to their requirements which would be about 5,000."

That's just plain stupid.
Why not give West Ham the Olympic Stadium, use St.Andrews for Athletics and move the Blues into the 5,000 seater?

Its an Athletics Stadium and you've been telt, now fuck off Tumnus you cackbeard.

If they give this stadium to them I want a tax rebate and I'll press this issue although the way to Parliament!

I wont of course, but it sounds purposeful.

I've just seen that quote on BBC.

Yes, we'll swap you your 80,000 seater stadium for a regional one that seats 5,000. This guy really has a nerve.

I don't know why he wants this so much. The stadium isn't set up for football, we'd still have to spend a lot of money adding more seats to increase the planned 25k, not to mention having to rent the ground from Newham council. Add to that the fact that it is a shitty open topped dome in which you'll be miles from the pitch and there would be no atmosphere at all.

isn't the plan to sell Upton Park and with that money use it to turn it into a proper football stadium ?

He wants it Sendo, to maximise revenue and whilst it may not have reared it ugly head yet, you can bet the Olympic super Casino wont be far behind.

Dont for one minute think these gobshites care what the atmosphere is like. Their MO is make money and get themselves in the public eye. And make themsleves a fucking laughing stock in the process. But they dont seem to care.

Upton Park is a shithole. I can't see that land going for much. They're hardly going to build luxury apartments there, even if you could get a nice view of Canary Wharf from the penthouse.

Prime land, not too far from some recently redeveloped areas and improved transport links and the new financial centre of London. At the moment though with global crunch it will be crap but in theory, 3 years down the line it could fetch loads. TBH I think this is the real reason for them purchasing Spam and not the "love for the team".
