The stadium isn't set up for football, we'd still have to spend a lot of money adding more seats to increase the planned 25k, not to mention having to rent the ground from Newham council. Upton Park is a shithole. I can't see that land going for much. They're hardly going to build luxury apartments there, even if you could get a nice view of Canary Wharf from the penthouse.

Prime land, not too far from some recently redeveloped areas and improved transport links and the new financial centre of London. At the moment though with global crunch it will be crap but in theory, 3 years down the line it could fetch loads. TBH I think this is the real reason for them purchasing Spam and not the "love for the team".
