I recall their not so gentle encouragement, via Brady, to boycott the Birmingham Evening Mail due to a negative story being written. This led to a few of the street vendors being verbally and physically abused - Nice. Also, they wanted City fans, in a full page advertisment, to boycott a couple of supermarkets (Sainsbury's and Morrison's from memory), due to them refusing to stock the Sport newspapers. They also stated in the advert that The Daily Sport were the only organisation to offer 'cancer sufferer Bobby Moore a job.' - Classy.A Blues supporting mate of mine told me that in one of the suites at the Blues, they had a huge painted canvas of Sullvan arms aloft with the crowd beneath him all haling him like a Caesar.
ATTENTION ALL BIRMINGHAM CITY SUPPORTERS! Dear Blues fans, Over a decade ago Birmingham City was on its knees when our company Sport Newspapers stepped in. Today your club is a vibrant and successful Premiership team. And now we're asking for YOUR help. Several of the country's leading supermarkets do not sell our newspapers, The Daily Sport and The Sunday Sport. It's vital to the survival of these newspapers that we are stocked in supermarkets which now command a large slice of newspaper sales. At the moment they are refusing to sell the newspapers that helped Birmingham FC in its hour of need 12 years ago. We believe there is a real demand for these newspapers and we urge all Blues fans to ask their local Asda, Morrisson's or Sainsbury's stock The Daily Sport and The Sunday Sport every time they shop there. Each time you make that request, we want you to email us on stockthesport@sportnewspapers.co.uk so we can prove to the supermarkets that there really is a demand. Yours in football, David Sullivan, David Gold, Ralph Gold PS: We bought a struggling team and took it to the Premiership AND we gave England's World cup winning skipper, Bobby Moore, a job as sports editor when NOBODY in football would lend him a helping hand. So now we're asking all football supporters to give us a helping hand. Thank you.

I'm going to have to stop ready this thread. Some of that is utterly cringeworthy. I bloody hope they don't try that at West Ham.They won't stay popular for very long if they do.
