Its a shame about the Pirates. Although I never really thought they'd make the playoffs, I did think that they'd crack .500 for the first time since 'Ol Big 'Ead left. However, they now appear to be in full crash n burn mode.

The pitching was the only thing holding them together.  The offence was too weak.....if they fix that next year, who knows?

Been away for three weeks and just read the stats made on Jeter and thought it was great, as for the Cubs they have won their 6th straight game (unbelievable) and Campana got an infield homer quite easily!

Why?

I can't remember a year where there have been so many blatantly BAD calls made.  Calls that as they are happening, you are thinking "Well... this is obviously not right".  Not just for the yankees, but for all of baseball.
