The best thing about being back at work is that there's about 6 of us who it has become clear are into wrestling and are having an ongoing general discussion not dissimilar to this one.

We're also taking turns to post videos of stuff we like, mine beign a series I've entitled The Daily Book where every day I find something on youtube that demonstrates what a classic comedic actor Booker T is.

Was sent this today tho that I'm just about to watch, a very rare out of character interview with The Undertaker. Part 2 is excellent apparently.

EDIT: it's a good few years old as he's only been there for 13 years and so I suspect it'll probably be from during his biker phase. Still intersting tho.

I sometimes watch the WWE vintage for nostalgia reasons.

When it is something like a Battle Royal or a Royal Rumble I can never help myself going through and counting which ones are now dead though.

All the Raw Wrestlers are stuck in Europe apart from from Triple H. Was Basically a Smackdown show last night.

It wasn't so bad actually. I enjoyed the opening segment between H & CM Punk. Didn't go much on the main event. It's not so long ago that Edge & H were bitter enemies, injuring each other (kayfabe), etc. Those two should have been kept apart or friendly/hated rivals like Cena & RKO.

Doesn't say much for Carlito that there was essentially only him & H left over from the Raw roster and he was nowhere to be seen. The Sheamus segment was hastily & poorly put together.

The draft can't come soon enough; also split the tag team belts or keep them permanently unified.

Yeah I enjoyed it as well. Even the "Mcgruber" stuff made me laugh a few times. Thought the Matt Hardy Drew McIntyre match was crap though. And yeah that Opening segment was good but got the feeling that HHH and Punk don't like each other (you know, in real life...)

Don't know why, but when I used to have Sky, I really used to like watching WWE. I loved watching Triple H and Stephanie's marital problems [yeah, right] being over-acted on television.

What a brilliant Raw that was!!!

I think they've made some really good decisions with the Draft this year, especially with Edge and Jericho, Raw is where they should be, really.

Great heel turn from Rated R at the end, just as it looked like Orton would nick it.

I didn't get to see Extreme Rules on Sunday, due to a power cut in my house. So was quite suprised to see Orton not as World Heavyweight Champion. The way the fued between him and Swagger had panned out over the past few weeks had me thinking he's be moving over to Smackdown. However, I'm glad that he hasn't.

My predictions now being a fued between The Miz and Morrison and I'm assuming and Orton/Edge fued. I'm now assuming that Batista will beat Cena at the next PPV (No Limits?) and take the WWE Championship back with him to Smackdown and the WHC staying on Raw?

Scratch what I just said about Batista:

From Wrestling Radio

Quote

PWInsider's Mike Johnson is reporting that the word backstage at Extreme Rules in Baltimore is that former WWE Champion Batista is set to leave World Wrestling Entertainment this week to pursue a career in acting. It is believed he was pulled from the production of the upcoming WWE film Killing Karma and replaced by Triple H because the belief was he would not be around once the film is produced and marketed.

Batista was pushed on as one of the last decade’s biggest stars, in the departure of Steve Austin and The Rock. Batista began his WWE career on the May 9, 2002 episode of SmackDown! as Deacon Bautista by the side of Reverend D-Von (Brother Devon Deadly) He went on to find main event success in Evolution which was followed by a successful singles career to present day.

Good, never liked him.

AWESOME Raw this week. Commercial free from Toronto. Won't reveal too much in case anyone hasn't caught up yet, but one of the strongest shows I can remember. Apart from one of the most painful guest hosts yet of course.

In contrast, TNA has gone back to Thursday nights and last week's show really looked to have lost something by losing the live element. They're still trying to shoe-horn too much into a show and then giving away classic matches like RVD vs Hardy vs Styles with no build-up.

They've got an awesome roster but it's still being misused.

You mean last week? Well, she quit later that show, so it's safe to come back out from behind the sofa.

Personally, I LOVE her as GM. She works the crowd brilliantly and has come SO far since she first appeared on tv. Eddie would be proud.
