Brett Favre's a legend.

That play when he was tap tackled, stumbled head down, kept his balance and passed the ball underarm to the receiver was classic Brett.

NB- all the above was done whilst playing in a blizzard.

Ryan Grant might have won the "Comeback Player of the Year award" in one game. Two fumbles in the first two minutes follwed by over 200 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Patriots just keep on marching .... 17-0

The Packer's offence looked really good last night and the blizzard added something to the game. Normally when I watch a game there's only one or two touchdowns, perhaps why I enjoyed the game more.

There's a great game going on right between the Colts and the Chargers. SD 28 IND 24, 4:50 left in the 4th.

The officials have been giving everything to the Colts but the Chargers are giving it their all.

Edit: and the Chargers have done it - SD 28 IND 24.

Now to see the Giants beat the Cowboys.

Edit again: Go giants, NYG 21 Dal 17. I've won the double on my underdog picks and my bro will have to pay me £10. Good stuff.

Seeing Jerry Jones fuming on the touchline is just a bonus.

Two big upsets today, sets it up nicely for next weekend.  I hope San Diego get their quaterback and running-back fit, so they can really give the Patriots a go.   Green Bay vs Giants looks set to be a tremendous tussle in the tundra.

That was an incredible performance by San Diego. Beating Indy after losing one their main offensive weapons before the game (Antonio Gates) and then LT & Rivers during the game, is remarkable.

However, if all three of those guys aren't fully fit next week, they're on for an absolute thumping by the Patriots.

I haven't watched the "New York Football Giants" (why do commentators still call them this when the other "New York Giants" left town in 1957 ?) victory over "America's Team". I'll get to that this evening.

I think I'd be furious to see my £60million pound QB who frigged off abroad for a week play so averagely. He's got months to go on holiday now. Chance missed, never get that back.

Not to mention Patrick Crayton, another to get a fat contract recently, dropping a ball I'd expect a child to catch. Not being able to beat a banged up Giants D was embarrassing but fair play to them - i thought they deserved to win.

Marion Barber was brilliant though - one of the few Cowboys who didn't deserve to lose.

Grrr!!!  ](*,)

In defence of Romo, the coach said that the players could have a few days off.

However, in hindsight I suspect that Romo wishes he'd spent the time at home shagging Jessica rather then popping down to Mexico.

Its the time of year when coaches are fired and hired.

A early favourite for the Atlanta job is

Tony Soprano

Sorry...... I meant

Tony Sparano

OK, so I was wrong about Atlanta but Sparano is now an NFL head coach (Deputy Tuna) with the Dolphins

When I saw the Giants beat the Dolphins at Wembley there was no way I'd have thought they'd be playing in the Superbowl.

The Giants defeated the Packers thanks to a 47 yard field-goal in overtime by British-born kicker Lawrence Tynes.

Congrats to the lesser-known Manning and the "New York Football Giants".

Now they have the privilege of being annihilated by the Patriots.

Not so quick.   I am gutted the Packers lost....but I think there is a certain destiny about the Giants.....they were so close to ending the Patriots unbeaten season in the last game of the season before the playoffs, I just think they know now what it takes to beat them.

I could have gone to the game itself but it was going to cost me £2500 for the ticket and accommodation. The flights would have been extra
