Why have a rule that allows the umpire to review a play but doesn't allow him to rule on the illegal move? I'm sure there is a reason but is it a good reason?

Because it's bollocks?

I know some Dolphins fans. They're not very happy but are looking forward to next year's draft.

You can put stuff in front of the door to stop the draft.

How are 'our' team doing at the mo?

They put in a Villaesque performance on Sunday, thats for sure.

They're pushing for the play-offs, but conspired to flounder against Arizona (!) to put them in a bit of a scrap for their place rather than secure their position.

He didn't half!

He was offended by music after goals being called an Americanism. I hadn't the heart to tell him it was.

Pats make it to 12-0....... but only just

Only just is right.  For the second week in a row, they should have lost.  The Ravens played the game of their lives and still managed to fuck it up in the 4th quarter.

I hate the Patriots - and I have no reason to.  There is just something abou them.

And what a shower of shit that was.

Ian, I heard something at the weekend about "crowd noise" been piped in during an NFL game. I'm not sure if it was into the ground or just on the TV.

I'm assuming you wouldn't be in favour  :-k

The "stadium noise" was to do with the Colts and a strange noise that went round their stadium when the visitors had the ball.

In the end CBS admitted it was their problem and nowt to do with the Colts.

Near the end though Juan Pablo Angel got a TD and the stadium DJ decided it would be rather clever to play "Angels" by Robbie Williams!

That would never happen at VP.....(ahem)  :smt002

Pats keep on a rollin' and the Fish keep on a losin'.

Meanwhile, Michael Vick gets 23 months in the "big house".

Meanwhile his ex-team mates show that they just don't get it

Huge game coming up at the Browns today against The Bills. Live on Sky 3 at 6pm. If the Browns win they are almost certain to be in the play-offs.

BTW, as I'm on here at stupid o'clock I'm watching the Bengals V 49ers on nfl.com and its easily the best sports stream I've ever watched. No distortion at all.

Quality was probably good because no one's really interested in the 49ers v Bengals. Also, it was live on Sky as well

Should be a snow-bowl......they are going to be having blizzard conditions in Cleveland today.   The game in New England later could be interesting as well.  Pittsburgh will be a combo of freezing rain and snow.
