Nope, definitely John Terry. Most of the boos he got were for the Chelsea connection, the rest because he's just a freeloader.

At least Martin Johnson has been a 49ers fan for many years.

I just thought I would pop on and say I am off to wembley today to watch the nfl match, I have never watched nfl, I bet it's shite.

Watching a NFL game in person before you've seen the game on TV is a big mistake.

Did you have someone with you who understood what was going on ?

I just went because I wanted to go to Wembley and had a free sunday afternoon/evening. I must admit the game did seem very boring, tedious and there wasnt much flow at all. When something did happen my eyes were hardly watching the game, they were watching the cheerleaders.

However I had a wicked time. This wasn't really because of the game, it was just that I had a nice binge drinking session with my girlfriend. I drank a lot of beer and just got merry and happy and by the end it seemed like a decent enough game.

She had lived in the states for about 6 years, so she knew what was going on and tried to teach me, I did understand it but compared to football it is just a poor game. I'm not a fan of rugby either :(

I actually thought the service at wembley was pretty good, sure the prices are expensive but there was only a couple of times I had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a beer.

All in all a fun day out, not the greatest sport in the world, but it allowed me to do something on a sunday. Ahh and just to add to that I had some americans sitting behind me (shock horror, they were everywhere) who in a typical supporter sitting behind you manner were slagging off the crowd for the lack of atmosphere, to which my girlfriend comically turned round and told them that if they want atmosphere, instead of complaining why dont they start singing.

The thing about about football (ie soccer) is that, offside rule excepted, its just so damn simple. There's not much thought involved and you're free to get caught up in the excitement/emotion.

With football (ie American), its necessary to be thinking about the tactics that might be used, looking at the formation of the offense, the way that the defense is set up to counter the threat and which personnel are on the field.

The two sports that I can't get into are Rugby League and Basketball. The former because I find their support play terrible and the latter because its too easy to score (for the pros, at least**)

** I've played in a game that ended 0-0.

Possibly the most anticipated regular season game ever is taking place today.

The unbeaten Patriots against the unbeaten Colts.

I'm going for the Pats by 6.

Who's ya got ??

Two NFL all-time records set in the same game today (Chargers @ Vikings).

First the Chargers' Antonio Cromartie ran back a missed field goal for 109+ yards, then the Vikings' Adrian Peterson breaks the single game rushing record with 296.

What's next ?

Nothing much, just the Patriots v Colts !!

I am in New York 5 december to 10th december and by coincidence New york jets are playing cleveland browns. There are tickets available through NY Jets seat exchange scheme.

Do any of you know which tickets are the best viewing tickets at The Meadowlands stadium?

Yep, ones when its the Giants rather than the Jets that are playing

However, if you do want to see the Jets, the seating plan is here

How about that 4th Quarter from the Patriots?

What a player Wes Welker is becoming as well.

I'll probably regret asking but how do they work out the fixture list in NFL.  I know all the teams play I think 15 regular season games but with only 4 teams in each league how do they work out who plays who?

Hang on I've just realised there are 16 team in the AFC and NFC so you play each team in your conference once, I'd assume home and away on each alternate season?
