It was imperative for the Browns to play mistake-free football against Pittsburgh and they couldn't have been further off that script. Cleveland QBs Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson were overwhelmed and confused against the Steelers' blitz package. Pittsburgh used overload, cornerback and zone blitzes to consistently harass the Browns' signal-caller. It didn't matter who was taking the snaps, Pittsburgh found a way to get to him and ended up with six sacks. Anderson and Frye couldn't sense the pressure and insisted on holding the football far too long. Even when Cleveland begun to create a little momentum, it would squelch that momentum by taking a costly sack or committing a penalty.

...and The Boys rattling up 45 points of course - although it got a little tense at the end for my liking!!  8-[

Ouch Julie! Would never happen anyway, we're far too squeaky clean!!  O:)

Anyway, 2 wins for the Boys now and what about Mr Lerner's other team racking up 51 points!!

My Raiders got their first win yesterday. Unfortunately it was at the expense of the Cleveland Villains.

Bit of a sickener as well. The Browns, having come from 16 points behind, received the ball with only a minute on the clock and no time-outs. Moved the full length of the pitch to get within easy field goal range with 3 seconds left and had the kick blocked. Someone is gonna get their arse kicked.

Praise be my Chiefs have broken their duck as well - looks like being a long poor season in the AFC West.

"Chicago Villa, Chicago Villa, shall we sing a song for you?"  :-$

Being biased I thought Dallas was a candidate for performance of the weekend although USAV would have seen a great Steelers performance (or so I thought anyway!) against the 49ers. They were the complete package.

You are right - I did see a great game and got a fantastic tan (sun burn) in the process!

The Steelers are looking very good and their defence would prove a good match against the prolific offence of the Patriots or the Colts.
