Sigh

That must be a tough one to take, the missed conversion ultimately proved very costly.

People sat that if was down to Mahomes, but Shanahan lost it a bit.

49ers should have ran the ball a lot more.

Read a couple of US articles and the gist of them was, how can such a brilliant coach manage big games so badly?

Sunday's game was the most watched US TV broadcast since the 1969 Moon landing. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68282519

I'm just about recovered. Gutted for Niners, but we couldn't seem to get Kittle and Deebo into the game.
Defense were very good but too many little mistakes.
I hope the nucleus stays together for a couple more goes at it.

When it got deep into OT there was an air of inevitability about Mahomes doing his thing.

Well it will help having Purdy, who is mega cheap. Spend the money elsewhere.

His sock is pretty high, how easy would it be for Purdy to up sticks and move to a team that would pay him the going franchise QB rate? Or is it really the talent around him that makes him look good? (Romo for one disputes this theory)

I don't see how legwear style affects potential salaries ;)

I don't think he can Joe. I believe he's on his third year rookie contract, so due about $1m next season. The following year if the Niners choose to, he'll be into the fourth and fifth year option and the money increases to around $14m. Still miles away from the $35-45m region of the top QB's.

I didn't think their defence was a major problem in a game which saw only 25 points scored against them.

Yes, think he's been unfairly scapegoated.

Bit of a surprise, Denver have let Russell Wilson go after two seasons.
Hasn’t exactly set the place alight, but the Broncos aren’t that good at the moment.
