Has a Rugby player ever made it in the NFL? Always thought Jonah Lomu could have been a great RB.

Does Mick Luckhurst count?

Jordan Mailata is probably the most successful Rugby (albeit League) to NFL convert

Jarryd Hayne played a few games

Did Luckhurst play any rugby before he went to the USA ?

John Smith was a footballer who became an NFL Kicker. He kicked the winning field goal in the 'Snow Plough Game'

He was also the kicker during Howard Cossell's announcement about the death of John Lennon

Colyn Price, outside half for London Welsh, Gloucester and (most importantly) the Mighty Lyd had a kicking tryout for (I think) the Rams in the 80s, However, nothing came of it.

Luckhurst apparently played rugby for his college in California, so wasn't a professional, and didn't play in the UK.

Did Gavin Hastings try and play for one of the NFL Europe teams? London Monarchs or some such?

At a dodgy Kabukicho pub for the Niners Packers game.

With a still pissed off Cowboys fan 😂

Ravens looking the ones to beat, to be honest.

GB have done alright this half but don't quite have enough in their arsenal to properly hurt the 49ers. I expect the 49ers to gradually pull away 2nd half and win by 15-20pts in the end.

Not good.

I think the Packers have got this.

Fair play, they've played well.

Ridiculous overachievement of a season for such a young Packers team. They are clearly well ahead of schedule in their rebuild.

Finding a third brilliant QB in a row the highlight

Think the Packers might look back on that one with regret, 49ers were there for the taking. As it is, the 49ers now essentially have a bye into the Superbowl and could probably rest some players for the Championship Game :)

Don't know about the bye thing, mate! We definitely aren't good enough to be that confident.

Lions and Bucs are arguably better than the Packers, also.

It was a relief to win yesterday to be honest.

I'm a bit torn watching the Lions. I have a massive soft spot for them, and they're the only team I wouldn't begrudge beating my Niners. I'd maybe rather they lose to the Bucs so we wouldn't have to face them at all next week.

I also seriously worry that offensively the Lions would cause all sorts of problems for SF.

As for the Bucs, nah, don't like them.
