Lying about their location in their name. Sacking a player for protesting. Calling themselves 49ers when 69ers would be much funnier.

(Though I'll be honest, of all the teams in the NFL they wouldn't be particularly near to the top of teams I most dislike).

Haha. Fair enough. All valid enough reasons if you ask me!

The 49ers stadium is closer to a Brum suburb than downtown SFO.

That’s not a great picture but that’s Levi’s Stadium in the background. It’s better inside.... but no Lambeau of course. It’s like comparing St Mary’s Southampton to Villa Park. Actually it’s not at all, it’s a really nice stadium.

What are the other reasons for disliking them?

I could say because the Oakland Raiders at home was the first NFL game I went to. It was like a Hells Angels convention with people wearing 'F*ck the Niners' t-shirts. But really just an irrational dislike of them since the 80s along with the Cowboys, Redskins, Giants, Dolphins, Cowboys, Giants and of course Patriots.

Fair enough! I'm all for irrational disliking when it comes to sport.

You a Raiders fan, BV?

I'm not a big enough American Football fan to really hate other teams, but have never liked the Jets. Have no idea why besides not really liking the colours. Same goes for the Colts, and not liking them because..well, I got stabbed in Indianapolis. Haha. Shouldn't laugh about it really!

So long as you hate the Patriots, that's the main thing.

Should hate the Colts, as they beat us in the Super Bowl, but don't really care about them.

The Jets are quite Spurs like.

49ers well beaten. Maybe no Superbowl after all.

No, but I have a soft spot for them and like Gruden. One of my friends from Uni was living in San Fran in the late 90s so we went to the Oakland game when I visited.

Funnily enough I'm a Jets fan (thankless task that it is) as they wear green and white and had a player with the same surname as me in the mid-80s. Soft spots also for the Packers and Eagles because of the colours and funnily enough the As are my baseball team. In college football I root for Mississippi State as they wear maroon and white (similar to Villa and same as my local GAA club) and I like their cowbells. As I said, all a bit irrational. ;D

Still, at least being a Jets fan you cam look forward to drafting Trevor Lawrence.

Browns 4-1 for the first time since Belichick was their Head Coach.

Dak Prescott carted off after a bad looking injury.

With Prescott likely out for (at least) the rest of this season, I can see someone winning that division with a 6 and 10 record.

Great win for my Raiders.

Maybe the return of Gruden will finally pay dividends

Given our luck with QBs he'll morph from a title winner to Emo Philips.

You have to wonder whether Wentz will finish the season, their OLine is awful. The whole division is crap.
