Predictably, Houston beat Oakland pretty easily.

Currently, Seattle in a close one over Detroit.

Oakland and Detroit both limp into the playoffs and then limp out again. Obviously Carr's injury changed everything for the Raiders but it's so Villa of the Lions to totally balls things up from 9-4 and turn a potentially great season into another bout of bitterness and recriminations.

I predict four home wins.

Called it.

Four one-sided games. Hopefully next week will be better. Not sure I'll bother watching Green Bay vs Dallas.

Most lopsided play-off games since 1981 apparently. It was all a bit dull.

Only the Giants @ Packers one was vaguely close and it was still over part-way through the 3rd Quarter.

Le'Veon Bell is a joy to watch, such an intelligent running back, takes some nerve to hesitate as he does and play what's in front of him.

He almost seems to be in slow motion, then suddenly darts through a gap.

I agree, it is totally counter-intuitive but works so well for him, surprised more don't do it.   I think having the type of offensive line he has in front of him  helps as well, but not bad for someone picked 48th overall in the draft.  There was one point yesterday in the first half where he dragged a line-backer for an 10 extra yards, and he's not a massive guy by any means.

That one series of 10 consecutive Bell runs was ridiculous. Poor defense play calling not to designate a player to just watch Bell (or poor play if the coaches had designated such a player)

Still...great running-back play

I watched a couple of My Football Life programmes on Sky Sports Mix at the weekend. They were alright. Walter Payton and Jerome Bettis.

Quick couple of questions.

Has a Wild Card team ever won the Super Bowl?
If not,
Who was the lowest seeded team to win it?

Six Wildcards have won the Super Bowl.

The 2005 Steelers and the 2010 Packers are the lowest seeds to have won, both seeded sixth (which is the lowest seed in the playoffs).

The 2011 Giants had the worst winning percentage, winning 9 and losing 7. They were, however, fourth seeds after finishing top of their weak division.

Cheers, buddy
